This guide provides basic information for new players on the Amplicity server. It will tell you how to connect, given an overview of the rules and guide you through your first steps on the server.
Joining the Server
Joining Amplicity is no different to any other public server. The server runs Java Edition 1.20.4 and its Minecraft address is play.amplicity.fr. Once you launch 1.20.4, you will need to select the 'multiplayer' option on the title screen, then click 'add server'. The name can be whatever you wish, but you need to put the server's address into the server address box.
While certain modifications are allowed, such as performance mods and displaying schematics, cheats such as x-ray are prohibited.
Learn the Rules
There are four rules:
- No griefing
- No spamming
- No cheating
- No toxicity
More details can be found by going to /warp rules. If you ever have a question, please ask the staff.
Exploring and Playing
At this point you can explore around Spawn or other warps if you want. If you wish to return to Spawn, you can use /spawn.
You start with some food and basic equipment. If you want some seeds, wood or saplings, there are public farms scattered around Spawn.
Once you are ready to build on your own, you can use /wild to go to a random location. Check that no-one has built anything and you can then start building a simple base.
You should use /sethome <custom-name> once you’ve found a location. You can then return with /home <name>. You can create multiple homes if you wish.
Further Steps
At this point, you can do what you wish so long as you follow the rules. If you want to write about yourself, your builds or contribute to this wiki, you can create an account and start editing.
